Fried Milk

Ingredients​

The custard

​

1 1/2 cups milk

½ cup condensed milk

1/3 cup cornstarch

¼ cup sugar

1/8 tsp salt

 

The batter

2 eggs

¼ cup all-purpose flour

2 tbsp sugar

pinch of salt

2 cups panko breading

 

1 quart neutral oil for frying.

Powdered sugar for dusting

 

Line baking tray with parchment paper or coat with a neural oil and set aside.

Combine the milk, condensed milk, sugar, corn starch and salt in a pan over medium heat. Cook 4-5 minutes stirring constantly to prevent burning. Once the mixture has thickened pour into the baking sheet. Dust the top of the custard with a thin layer of cornstarch to prevent sticking and cover with plastic wrap. Place in the fridge and chill for at least 4 hours.
